Full Day Of Kindergarten, Tech Upgrades Proposed For Cranford Schools
Based on survey results from the community, a new referendum may bring a full-day kindergarten program and other upgrades to the district.
CRANFORD, NJ — A proposed referendum for the Cranford School District may introduce a full-day kindergarten program, as well as several technology and accessibility enhancements at every school.
At Monday's Cranford Board of Education meeting, the district's business administrator Robert Carfagno, presented the proposed referendum, which is guided by the results of a town-wide survey.
The survey indicated that about 71 percent of the community was in support of district enhancements. This includes updating science labs, modernizing library/multimedia centers to support 21st century STEM programs, enhancing performing arts spaces, enhancing accessibility options, installing air conditioning in large common spaces, upgrading electrical services, and making repairs districtwide.
