CRANFORD, NJ — The Cranford Police Department is holding a drug takeback event for residents to safely dispose of medicines.

As part of a nationwide initiative to encourage the proper handling of prescription medications to reduce risk and waste, drugs can be taken to the back of the Cranford Municipal Building at 8 Springfield Ave. on Oct. 25.

The event drop-off period is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
