Horse & Carriage Rides Return To Cranford For Holiday Season
You can travel around downtown Cranford in style this holiday season by hopping on a horse-drawn carriage.

CRANFORD, NJ — Cranford locals have a chance to hop on a horse-drawn carriage and ride around downtown this weekend.
Sponsored by Garlic Rose Bistro, the carriage rides will take place on Friday, Dec. 9 and Friday, Dec. 16 from 6 to 10 p.m.
Rides will be on a first-come first-served basis, and people can line up in lower Lot 7 by Garlic Rose Bistro at 28 North Avenue West.

Participants are also encouraged to bring a boxed or canned good to be donated to Cranford Family Care — an organization that offers financial support or provides groceries to residents in need.
Cranford is also holding its Holiday Sweets & Treats Walk on Saturday, Dec. 17 from 12 to 4 p.m. Attendees will receive a Downtown Cranford container and map touring Downtown Cranford shops and restaurants.

Participants will end the afternoon with a container full of custom-made (pre-wrapped) cookies, sweets and treats from downtown businesses. Although the event is currently sold out, people can still take care of their holiday shopping by visiting the downtown businesses.
Free shopping parking is also returning for the holidays on Dec. 9 in downtown Cranford. The free parking will be in effect through Dec. 24. Normal parking time limits remain in effect.
