CRANFORD, NJ — Four men were arrested on multiple drug and gun-related charges on Nov. 26, Cranford Police said.
Amir Rouland, 21 of Newark, is charged with second-degree possession of a firearm, fourth-degree possession of prohibited weapons, fourth-degree possession of a defaced firearm, second-degree possession of a weapon during controlled dangerous substance offenses, fourth-degree possession of marijuana, and third-degree possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Yazir Coley, 20 of Newark, Kashir Williams, 20 of Newark, and Jovan Thomas, 22 of Brooklyn, New York, were charged with fourth-degree possession of marijuana and third-degree possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

At around 8:55 p.m., police stopped a 2015 Nissan Altima along North Avenue near the Garden State Parkway for multiple vehicle violations. A "large" amount of marijuana packaged for distribution was found in the Altima.
A gun was also found loaded with 16 rounds of ammunition.

The four men were then taken into custody without conflict.
The driver, Rouland, was taken to the Union County Jail to await a detention hearing. The other men were released on summonses with court dates yet to be announced.
