Milling & Paving Work Begins In Cranford This Week: Police

The road work will impact parking on Burnside Avenue for a few days, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ — Milling and paving work on Burnside Avenue is starting this week, according to an announcement from Cranford Police.

Carroccia Company will begin milling Burnside Avenue on Monday, police said. The plan is to mill from Lexington Ave. to Marsh St. on Monday and then Marsh St. to Lincoln Ave. on Tuesday.

Police said the contractor will then begin paving operations on Wednesday and will pave starting at Lexington Ave. moving towards Lincoln Ave.. This will require parking restriction on Burnside Avenue which will impact the residents for a few days, according to police.

Residents should have been notified by the contractor in advance.

Once the milling operations are completed on Burnside the contractor will move to Johnson Ave. and finish with Elise St.

The work in the area is estimated to take around five to seven days depending on the weather.
