To the editor:
While reading December 20th's Star Ledger, we learned that Somerset County Surrogate Frank Bruno's annual "gift-card drive" for soldiers in the amputee ward at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center had received a "devastatingly disappointing" response. Typically, Surrogate Bruno is able to hand deliver over $3,500 worth of phone cards, I-Tunes cards, and Visa gift cards to the recovering soldiers, however this year, he only has 7 gift cards to hand out.

The deadline to mail your donation to Surrogate Bruno is January 4th so he may personally hand out the gift cards to the troops during his trip to the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in mid-January.
We must never forget the ultimate sacrifice being paid by our troops, especially during the holiday season.
Respectfully,
Matthew R. Nazzaro
