'Souperheroes' Taking Over Streets Of Cranford In January
Capes and costumes will cover Cranford as families journey to various restaurants.
CRANFORD, NJ — You can always run into a familiar face downtown, but in just a few weeks, your old friend might be one straight out of a comic book.
The "Souperhero Stroll" and food drive is taking over Cranford on Jan. 17 and Jan. 18 to raise resources for those in need.
Balloon sculptures of famous heroes and villains constructed by Dream Factory Balloons will line the streets as guests walk their way to local restaurants and sample a variety of soups they are rolling out.

Kids are encouraged to wear their favorite costumes and capes during the rain or shine event.
Tickets are available now for both Jan. 17 (12 to 2 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m.) and Jan. 18 (12 to 2 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m.) time slots.

Admission must be purchased for each person who will be tasting soup. A time slot must also be chosen at the time of purchase in order to control the flow in and out of restaurants.
Canned soup donations will be accepted for local food banks at the registration table on the days of the event.

Tickets can be picked up beginning at 11:45 p.m. at Eastman Plaza on North Union Avenue (weather permitting). All tastings will end at 4 p.m.
