TRAFFIC ALERT: Upcoming Road Construction in Cranford

Milling and paving will shutter a road in Cranford Township for several nights.

The County of Union informed residents of upcoming road closures in Cranford due to construction.

Springfield Avenue from East Holly Street to Kenilworth Boulevard will undergo construction beginning Monday, April 20. The construction is expected to last approximately nine nights and includes milling, paving and striping of the road.

The road will be closed to traffic from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.

Emergency vehicles will be allowed through at all times. All other motorists are advised to follow a posted detour.

The construction will affect the main entrance of Union County College. College employees and students are advised to follow a marked detour to the back entrance using East Broad Street and Gallows Hill Road.
