Winter Storm Warning Issued By Cranford Police
Several inches of snow and strong winds are expected in Cranford beginning Friday night. Cranford Police issued a series of warnings.

CRANFORD, NJ — With the impending snow storm coming this weekend, Cranford Police alerted residents of a winter storm warning that will last until 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Cranford Police said in the alert that heavy snow is expected to begin around 7 p.m. Friday night and continue until 7 p.m. on Saturday. The expected total snow accumulation is between 4 to 7 inches.
Wind gusts are expected to reach as high as 40 mph.

Portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York will be impacted by the storm.
Cranford Police expects travel will become very difficult. Affected areas include Eastern Passaic County, Western Bergen, Eastern Bergen, Western Essex, Eastern Essex, Western Union, Eastern Union, Putnam, Rockland and North Westchester.

If people must travel, Cranford Police advises residents to keep an extra flashlight, food and water in their vehicles in case of an emergency. Check local Department of Transportation information services for the latest road conditions.
