2 Children In Critical Condition After Crash

Two children were critically injured in a two-car crash on Friday in Lawrence Township. Five other non-life-threatening injuries were also reported.

The children, ages 11 and 5, were then airlifted to RWJ-New Brunswick where they are both listed in critical condition.

Man Critically Injured in 4-Vehicle Crash

One man was hospitalized in critical condition following a four-vehicle crash on Route 70 in Brick on Saturday morning.

Authorities said the man was driving a Hyundai Sonata and was stopped for a red traffic signal on Route 70 West at Duquesne Boulevard in Brick around 8:30 a.m. when his vehicle was rear-ended by a Volkswagen minivan.

The crash is under investigation.

Man Charged In Crash That Killed Nurse

A 58-year-old nurse was killed when her car was hit head-on in a wrong-way crash on Route 70 in Brick early Friday.

Anne Rasmussen, 58, of the Whiting section of Manchester, was killed in the crash around 5 a.m. Friday near the Lowe's home improvement store, authorities said.

A Howell man has been charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving in motor vehicle summonses.
