Boy Scout Leader Charged with Possession of Child Pornography

Phil Rogozenski, 49, of East Brunswick, was charged Thursday.

An East Brunswick assistant Boy Scout Master has been arrested and charged with possession of child pornography, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and Kenneth P. McCormick, director of the North Brunswick Police Department.

Phil Rogozenski, 49, of East Brunswick, was arrested on Thursday, June 14, at his job at Bristol-Myers Squibb in North Brunswick, where he works as a senior manager of automation. He also volunteers as an assistant scout master of Boy Scout Troop 132 in East Brunswick.

He was charged with one count of possession of child pornography, a fourth degree crime, following an investigation by Investigator Robert Torrisi of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and Detective John Ambrosino of the North Brunswick Police Department.

The investigation showed that Rogozenski possessed the illicit material on a computer at work. The investigation began after officials at the pharmaceutical company discovered the child pornography and called police.

Bail was set at $5,000 after Rogozenski was arrested and charged.

As is the case with all criminal defendants, the charge against Rogozenski is merely an accusation and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
