Chittick's Race to Space

Students at the Chittick School saw weeks of hard work and study pay off Thursday when fifth-graders got to go outside and launch their rockets.

The project has been a mainstay in the district for years, and one of the culminating events for fifth-graders. As part of the project, fifth-graders study the science behind rockets – such as Newton’s Law of Physics, drag and lift - then build and launch their own.
