
Joseph J. Janeczek died Tuesday, June 12, at home. He was 82.
Born in Dickson City, Pa., he resided in Newark before moving to East Brunswick in 1956.
He owned Sunnyside Bakery in Dunellen for 29 years before retiring in 1986; then he worked as a baker for A&P in Aberdeen for several years before his final retirement.

He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, and was a former member of the American Legion and the East Brunswick Elks.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elaine Sznyter Janeczek.

Surviving are two sons, Joseph J. Jr. of Franklin Park, and Robert of Helmetta; two daughters, Melanie Benson of Hillsborough and Dr. Susan Janeczek of East Brunswick; two sisters, Theresa Pappas and Maryann McGraw, both of Pennsylvania; and nine grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call at the Rezem Funeral Home 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick on Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. and at the Sznyter Funeral Home, 1101 Prospect Street, Scranton, Pa. on Friday 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. in the Sznyter Funeral Home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Adalbert’s Polish National Catholic Church, Dickson City, Pa.
