Patch Favorites: Brother's Pizza Comes Out on Top

When it comes to getting Italian food, it’s in in the Center 18 mall.

was the winner of a week-long survey asking Patch readers what their favorite Italian restaurants in East Brunswick were. was the top vote-getter with 15 votes out of the 66 cast. Coming in second was with 11 votes and with 9 votes. Frank’s was followed by with 6 votes; and and , each with 4 votes.

received three votes and Taverna Della Pizza, , , and received 2 votes each.

One poster was surprised that Papa John’s did so` well, but was happy to see the wide selection of Italian restaurants in East Brunswick.

“Papa John's????? I've had their pizza. It's good. But, I have an issue with chain restaurant pizza. Maybe it's psychosomatic, or maybe I'm just including atmosphere and am partial to places that have sit down service with real food. I heard Brother's is great, but I haven't tried it yet. Vinnie’s is usually solid and I've had Mancini's once. I voted for Mancini's because I thought the pizza was great and like most of the places not named ‘Papa John's’ both of those other places serve Italian dishes. (I) Was looking for The Tomato Factory, but I remembered that I think it (is) technically in Milltown. Looks like I'll have some other places to try.”
