POLL: Bacon Sundae Now Available at Area Burger Kings

Burger King is making headlines with its new bacon sundaes.

The sundae features “creamy vanilla BK® soft serve, drizzled with chocolate fudge, caramel and topped with bacon crumbles, complete with a thick-cut, hardwood smoked bacon garnish,” according to a company press release.

The bacon sundae comes in at 510 calories, 18 grams of fat and 61 grams of sugar, the Associated Press reported.

As food blog Eater.com points out, Burger King isn’t the first fastfood chain to unleash bacon-infused sweets. Denny's also offered a Maple Bacon Sundae.

The bacon sundae was introduced in Nashville earlier this year, according to an AP story on the Huffington Post. It is expected to hit Burger King locations nationally on Thursday and remain available through Sept. 3.
