NJ Woman Identified As Subway Fire Victim
A Toms River resident has been identified as the woman who was set on fire and burned to death in a New York City subway car, New York City police said Tuesday.

Debrina Kawam, 57, of Toms River, was killed after Sebastian Zapeta-Calil lit her on fire inside an F train subway car on Dec. 22, police said.

Officials Investigating Possible Tornado
Officials at the National Weather Service are investigating whether a tornado touched down in Gloucester County NJ on New Year’s Eve.
According to the Gloucester County Office of Emergency Management, they received reports of heavy wind damage to homes in Clayton near Fries Mill Road.
Several 911 callers believed they heard a tornado as they reported “freight train like noises and discovered downed trees, damaged decks and fences.” Brief power outages also affected that nearby area.
The US National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly was contacted and will be investigating the situation and the possibility of a tornado, straight-line winds, or similar.
No injuries have been reported, the OEM said.
Woman Drives Through South Jersey Hospital
A woman crashed her vehicle through a South Jersey hospital, nearly striking a security guard on New Year's Eve, authorities said.
The incident took place at Inspira Health Center in Bridgeton just before 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday. No one was hurt.

Man Charged In New Year’s Eve Shooting
An Allentown man has been charged with attempted murder in a shooting that led authorities to issue a town-wide shelter-in-place order on New Year's Eve, authorities said Wednesday.
Daniel Williams, 52, was arrested Tuesday night after a wide search by authorities for several hours. According to authorities there was a child present during the time of the shooting.

Woman Dead, Man Critical After NYE Fire
A woman died and a man is in critical condition after a fire blazed through an apartment on Tuesday night in Passaic, according to reports.
The fire started about 9:30 p.m. on the first floor of the three-story building, North Jersey.com reported.

Pedestrian Struck & Killed By NJ Transit Train
A man was hit and killed by a New Jersey Transit train Tuesday evening that was making its way to Bay Head, authorities said.
The man was hit just before reaching the north end of the Navesink River Bridge, in Middletown.
