Two Hurt in Accident Sunday Afternoon
The accident closed Hardenburg Lane for about an hour and the drivers of both cars were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A 55-year-old East Brunswick woman had to be extricated from her car following a two car accident at the intersection of Hardenburg Lane and Fresh Ponds Road at 1:27 p.m. Sunday.

Liljana Parastatidis was driving a 2005 four-door Acura west on Hardenburg Lane toward Riva Avenue when she collided with a 2008 Nissan being driven by Marisa Adinolfi. Adinolfi was driving eastbound on Hardenburg Lane when she made a left turn onto Fresh Ponds Road, in front of Parastatidis’s oncoming vehicle. Parastatidis was unable to stop in time and both vehicles collided.

As result of the collision Parastatidis had be extricated by the . She suffered abdominal pain and pain to her right leg. Adinolfi complained of pain to her left arm and left leg. Both parties were transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The along with the East Brunswick District 3 Fire Department, Milltown Rescue Squad, South Brunswick Rescue Squad and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Paramedics responded to the accident.
