An East Hanover man is accused of pretending to be a New Jersey police officer while leaving the scene of an accident in Vermont over the weekend. After the Saturday accident on Route 4 in Hartland, Vt., Scott Taylor, 41, of East Hanover, <a href="http://www.timesargus.com/article/20130820/THISJUSTIN/708209871" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">allegedly flagged down drivers and showed them a fake badge, saying he was a New Jersey police officer</a>, according the Times Argus.
