Brooklake Road Cleanup, Ridgedale School Concert, Egg Hunt This Week
A look at the week ahead in East Hanover and Florham Park.
Brooklake Road Cleanup Project: Tired of all the trash lining Brooklake Road? Come help clean it up! The Florham Park Environmental Commission is holding the first community clean-up of 2013 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 .m. on Saturday. Meet at Conservation Management Area, at the intersection of Brooklake Road and East Madison Avenue. Rain or shine. Wear boots/sturdy shoes and bring work gloves. The commission will be picking up garbage along Brooklake Road, covering the stretch from Sherbooke Drive to Fish Brook Park. For more information email info@florhamparkenvironmental.org.
Florham Park AARP to Feature Ridgedale School Band and Chorus: Florham Park Chapter 5109 will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Senior Center on Longley Lane located at the Florham Park municipal complex off Ridgedale Avenue. Following the business meeting there will be a concert given by the Ridgedale School band and chorus. Members and guests, residents and non-residents, 50 years of age and older are welcome. Refreshments will be served between the business meeting and the program. If the Senior Center lot is filled, park in the Community Center lot where a shuttle will take you to and from the meeting.
Florham Park Jaycees Egg Hunt: The Florham Park Jaycees Annual Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, rain or shine. Activities will take place at the Ridgedale Middle School. The Easter Bunny has agreed to spend some time with participants and will be available for photos. Children will be grouped by age to seek out chocolate-filled eggs and special prizes.
