Florham Park Sex Offender Stole From Employer: Police

Colin Bolger, 20, stole an undisclosed amount of money from the register of the Madison Stop & Shop, police said.

MADISON, N.J.– A 20-year-old convicted sex offender stole an undisclosed amount of money from his employer on Nov. 10, police said.

Colin Bolger of Florham Park took the money from one of the registers at the Stop & Shop in Madison, Lt. John Miscia said.

Bolger was arrested and charged with theft, Miscia said.

In August, Bolger was arrested on charges of sexual assault and child endangerment, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.

Bolger allegedly sexually assaulted a then-13-year-old girl in Florham Park and Hanover Township between Sept. 2105 and April 2016, the prosecutor's office said.

He was sentenced to two years probation for sexual contact with underage girls and must register as a sex offender, Morris County Prosecutor's Office Spokesman Paul Merkler said.

On the same day he was sentenced, Bolger was charged with criminal mischief in Morris Plains for spray painting a park patio, Chief Jason A. Kohn said.
