Hanover Park, Whippany Park Not Among 'Top' High Schools
U.S. News and World Report releases annual list of top schools.
Neither Hanover Park nor Whippany Park high schools rank among the very best in New Jersey, according to U.S. News and World Report.
The schools are not among the top 54 of 395 high schools in the magazine's annual rankings of high schools statewide and nationally. Three main factors are calculated for the rankings, including college readiness, math proficiency and language proficiency.
New Jersey's top high school is Biotechnology High School in Freehold, with High Technology High School in Lincroft and the Bergen County Academies in Hackensack rounding out the top three.

U.S. News & World Report ranked the schools as indicated in the chart:

Whippany Park's ratio rated better than 48 percent of Jersey high schools, with 44 teachers to 624 students.

Elsewhere, both schools' performance was strikingly similar based on the metrics employed by U.S. News and World Report.
No Morris County school made the top 10 in New Jersey. Chatham High School ranked number 13, dropping from number seven last year. Nearby Ridge High School was ranked number 14.
