Liquor License Law for Elks Lodge OK'd

Organization approached East Hanover about getting a license after moving from Florham Park.

The East Hanover Township Council on Monday unanimously approved an ordinance that allows for a club liquor license at the local Elks lodge.

The Elks will have to file an application with the state before they can get the license, and officials said the organization will have to follow all New Jersey Alcoholic Beverage Control laws.

After the Elks Lodge moved from Florham Park, where they had a liquor license, to East Hanover, where there was no law on the books to allow club licenses, the group approached the township.
