NJ Mom Left Infant In Hot Car For 4.5 Hours, Police Say
Livia Patelli was charged after her infant died from being left in a hot vehicle.
EAST HANOVER, NJ – The mother of a six-month-old baby girl left for hours in a hot car last month has been charged in her death.
Livia Patelli, 33, has been charged with second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
On July 17 at approximately 1:30 p.m., East Hanover Police Department responded to a 911 call that reported an infant was left unattended in a hot vehicle.

Paramedics attempted to save the baby, but she was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police say that the infant was left unattended for approximately four and a half hours.

According to officials, Patelli, was detained at the Morris County Correctional Facility but was released following her first appearance in court on Thursday.
The investigation, which was conducted by the East Hanover Police Department and Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, remains open.
