Police Search for Man Seen Entering Car in Florham Park
A woman saw a man get into her unlocked car while it was parked in her driveway.

Police searched the Hillside Avenue area of Florham Park today looking for a man who allegedly got into an unlocked car that did not belong to him.
Police were called at 12:02 p.m. Thursday from someone who said a woman told her she saw a man enter her car, then get out again, Capt. Robert Trieber said.
Police responded to the woman's residence on Hillside Avenue. While inside her house at around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, "she saw a tall black male wearing a black jacket open the car door of their car," which was "parked unlocked in her driveway," Trieber said.

The woman knocked on her house window loud enough for the man to hear it. Trieber said he exited the car, closed the door and walked away.
"Nothing was stolen from the car," Trieber said. "This woman told someone else, who called us an hour and a half later. For some reason she didn't call us herself."

By the time police arrived and searched the area, no one matching the man's description was found.
