Security Video Helps Nab Alleged School Burglar
East Hanover man accused of smashing glass window, stealing drill press from Hanover Park High on New Year's.

An East Hanover man was arrested after he was seen on security footage smashing a glass window and stealing a drill press from Hanover Park High School on New Year's, police said.
Frank Ditaranto, 41, who lives near the high school on Mt. Pleasant Avenue, was charged with burglary and theft.
According to police, Ditaranto allegedly stole a drill press valued at $1,500 from the shop area of the high school just after midnight on Jan. 1.

Ditaranto was seen on school security cameras allegedly breaking a glass door to gain entry, police said. The video also revealed Ditaranto stealing the drill press, police said.
The drill press was found in Ditaranto's home and was returned to the high school, police said.

Ditaranto was released on his own recognizance and the charges were referred to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, Snow said.
