Thousands of Homes Still Without Electricity
While some residents got power back, JCP&L outage map still shows more than 6,000 customers without power in East Hanover and Florham Park.

Passaic Avenue and portions of Park Avenue and Ward Place were among the streets in Florham Park where power reportedly was restored on Friday.
Sections of East Hanover, including part of Ridgedale Avenue and surrounding street, and two of the district's schools, also had power restored.
But Jersey Central Power & Light's outage map still showed more than 6,000 East Hanover and Florham Park customers without power early Saturday morning.

There were 3,021 customers in East Hanover and 3,387 in Florham Park without electricity.
The Florham Park Office of Emergency Management said Friday that Florham Park Mayor Scott Eveland and Police Chief Patrick Montuore have been in constant contact with Jersey Central Power & Light, but no timetable for the restoration of power has been offered.

Florham Park Police encouraged residents to sign up for alerts, monitor its Facebook page, and share information with neighbors who might not receive the alerts.
The Florham Park First Aid Squad "Tree of Lights" ceremony scheduled for Sunday was canceled, while the Florham Park Library has opened and will have hours from 10 a.m. until midnight Saturday.
Officials said residents who have service wires from the utility pole to their houses down or disconnected should contact a licensed electrician to reconnect the service because it will help residents get power back once the area is energized.
"The Florham Park Office Of Emergency management continues to work around the clock to manage storm operations and disseminate information to the residents of Florham Park," the office said. "We will only disseminate information that is confirmed valid. We appreciate the positive feedback and understand the frustrations of the community during this difficult time. We hope to have information regarding power soon."
