Which Morris County Towns Received The Most Rain Wednesday?
One New Jersey town measured more than three inches of water in a 24-hour period.

Morris County residents had to trade in the snow boots for rain boots this week after an incredible amount of precipitation fell on the area Wednesday.
The hours-long storm Wednesday night, which resulted in a tornado watch for much of New Jersey, brought thunder, lightning, and power outages throughout the region.

According to the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail & Snow Network through Rutgers University, a dozen Morris County towns ranked in the top 50 for rainfall totals through Wednesday morning’s measurements.

Those towns, their rainfall totals, and ranking in the state are:
- Florham Park, 2.63 inches, No. 5
- Chatham, 2.58 inches, No. 7
- Madison, 2.45 inches, No. 11
- Washington Township, 2.13 inches, No. 23
- Randolph Township, 2.13 inches, No. 24
- Mine Hill Township, 2.07 inches, No. 28
- Jefferson Township, 2.06 inches, No. 29
Salem in Salem County had the most rainfall in the Garden State with 3.07 inches by 8:42 a.m. Wednesday.
