2 Mercer Men Charged With Murder In Drive-By Shooting That Left 1 Dead

The incident took place on June 26, which left one person dead and three injured, police said.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ – Two men have been charged in connection with the Trenton drive-by shooting that left one person dead and three others injured, County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey said.

On June 26, around 8:52 p.m., Trenton Police responded to the area of the 100 block of Passaic Street, where they found four people suffering from gunshot wounds, including three men and one woman. Trenton resident Koran Hunter, 24, was pronounced dead.

According to authorities, the four people were standing outside on Passaic Street when shots were fired at them from a vehicle that fled the scene.

Trevon C Manning and Jahmir A Laws, both 25-year-old Trenton residents, have been charged with murder, conspiracy, possession of a firearm for unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a handgun, and multiple counts of attempted murder and aggravated assault.

On the early morning of July 4, Laws was apprehended by the Homicide Task Force in Trenton and Manning was apprehended shortly thereafter in Falls Township, Pennsylvania by the Falls Township Police Department.
