EAST WINDSOR, NJ — The 59th Annual New Jersey Senior Citizen Art Show opened Sept. 30 at Meadow Lakes Senior Living in East Windsor, showcasing more than 300 works from talented artists across the state.

The exhibition, which runs through Nov. 6, features First Place winners from local senior citizen art shows held throughout New Jersey this year, representing 20 of the state's 21 counties.

The display includes works from both professional and non-professional artists across 11 categories — acrylic, craft, digital art, mixed media, oil, pastel, photography, print, sculpture, watercolor, and works on paper.

A panel of three professional artists will evaluate all submissions and select first, second, and third place winners, along with honorable mentions in each category. Best in Show awards will be presented to one professional and one non-professional artist.

"It’s always exciting to see the best work of New Jersey’s senior artists gathered in one place,” said Mercer County Executive Dan Benson. “We’re honored to once again host this exhibition with the State Council on the Arts, and to celebrate the talent and creativity on display.”
