The following is a summary of incidents as reported by East Windsor Police:
EAST WINDSOR, NJ - On July 12, at 4:55 a.m., officers responded to Bennington Drive for a reported burglary in progress. Investigation revealed that the individual smashed the driver's side front window of a parked vehicle and stole the spare tire. Responding officers located the individual at Shell a short time later. The stolen spare tire was recovered from the individual's vehicle. The 21-year-old Bronx, NY resident was placed under arrest, charged on a complaint summons, and released pending court action.
On July 13, around 3:37 p.m., officers responded to Target for a shoplifting in progress. The officer located the individual outside the rear of the store after he exited through the emergency fire exit without paying for $706.72 of merchandise. The Sommerville resident fled, and officers gave chase. The 46-year-old was placed under arrest after a foot pursuit. The man was charged on a complaint summons and released pending court action.
