Condo Fire Ignited from Incendiary Items Near Water Heater
A police investigation revealed that combustible items near a water heater started the fire at an East Windsor condo Wednesday.
A fire that devastated an East Windsor condo on Wednesday, April 24 was found to have originated in the outside utility closet on the rear patio of the residence, police reported Thursday.
This closet contained the hot water heater and the furnace. A fire ignited when combustible items caught fire after coming into contact with the water heater. According to police, the items were stored too closely to the water heater.
The investigation into this fire has been concluded, East Windsor police said.
