The following is a summary of incidents as reported by East Windsor Police:

EAST WINDSOR, NJ — On Aug. 7 , an officer conducted a traffic stop because the vehicle’s license plate was not on file. The officer checked the VIN and learned that the vehicle was reported stolen out of Trenton. The driver, a Trenton resident, was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, and released on a complaint summons pending court action.

On Aug. 10, an officer responded to the area of the tunnel on Abbington Drive for a report of a disturbance. The victim claimed that a group of individuals started an altercation with him and his friends. The victim dropped his cell phone and advised it was stolen by one of the individuals in the group. The cell phone was tracked to an apartment on Abbington Drive and officers responded to the location. The suspect, a 36-year-old East Windsor resident ,noticed the officers, dropped the phone, and fled on foot. The suspect was placed under arrest after a brief foot pursuit. He was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released on a complaint summons pending court action.

On Aug. 13, an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing the vehicle being operated erratically. The driver showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. Additionally, the officer found suspected cocaine in the vehicle. The a 34-year-old West Windsor man was taken to police headquarters, processed, but refused to comply with breath testing procedures. He was later released on a complaint summons pending court action.
