East Windsor Man Charged In Connection With 6 Home Burglaries In Ewing
In several incidents, the suspect stole vehicle keys from homes and used them to steal the residents' cars, cops said.
EAST WINDSOR, NJ — A 24-year-old East Windsor resident was charged in connection with a string of six residential burglaries that occurred last week in Ewing, police said.
Austin Pember has been charged with burglary, theft, credit card theft, trespass, and attempted burglary.
The charges stem from the burglaries that took place in the River Road, Scudder Road, and Bernard Drive neighborhoods.

In several incidents, suspects stole vehicle keys from homes and used them to steal the residents’ cars, authorities said.
On July 31, detectives from the Ewing Police Department executed a court-authorized search warrant at a home in Trenton. During the search, officers recovered evidence linking Pember to the burglaries, Ewing Police said.

"This case is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of our officers and detectives, as well as the collaboration of law enforcement county wide." Police Chief Al Rhodes said.
"We remain committed to protecting our community and bringing justice to the victims of these crimes."
Rhodes also thanks the East Windsor Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service for their assistance in this investigation.
