East Windsor Residents Sound Off on Safety Issues

East Windsor, NJ- Summer’s nearly here, and with each walk in the park, day at the pool and backyard BBQ comes the risk of snakebites, drowning and fires, but don’t worry! There’s no reason to stay cooped up inside all season.

Patch put together a list of summer safety tips to keep you safe and having fun while the weather’s warm. Make sure to give snakes their distance and always swim with a buddy to stay carefree during the dog days.

Keeping these tips in mind, there are other possible dangers that affect East Windsor residents year round.

We asked Patch readers what they thought the biggest safety issues were in their town. Here’s a list of the most pressing problems, from break-ins to traffic jams:

• "The need to get Conover Road aligned with Hankins at Route 130. The most Deadly intersection in Mercer County."

• "The intersection at Conover Rd, Hankins Road and Rt. 130."

• "Lack of continuous sidewalks along neighborhood roads and pedestrians not using the sidewalks we do have."

• "The intersection at Airport Road and 33."

• "People on their cell phones while driving."

• "Pot Holes, and bad drivers."

• " Fix up the area between route 130/Hickory Corner Road and Home Depot. Also make entrance in to WaWa on Hickory corner Road bigger!"

• "The mess of an intersection at Route 33 and 130 turnpike.
