EAST WINDSOR, NJ - As the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection issued a code orange air quality alert for Thursday, the East Windsor Regional School District suspended all outdoor activities for students for the second day.

There will be no gym or recess held outdoors, Superintendent Mark Daniels told the community in a letter.

"Physical education classes and recess will continue to be held indoors. In addition, if your child's school has an outdoor related field trip or athletic event scheduled for today, we will need to explore an option to postpone, reschedule, or cancel," Daniels said.
