Marting, a stand-up comedian, actor and writer, is best known as a former writer and in-studio comedian for “The Howard Stern Show” from 1983 to 2001.
Meanwhile, Bales has appeared on a variety of television networks and has also hosted his own radio programs on NYC’s WABC (770 AM) and WEVD (1050 AM).
"Jackie and I have a fun TV show called Stand-Up Memories (stanupmemories.com) where we share hilarious stories from decades on the road. What is always the best? Live shows in New Jersey," Bales said.
"This weekend we are bringing the jokes in person to the Prime Time Comedy Club."
Located at the Americana Kitchen & Bar, Prime Time Comedy Club is a venture by East Brunswick resident Butch Seltzer.
He opened the club in January this year, after heading a successful venture in Sayreville a few years ago.
Seltzer is particularly thrilled to have Martling and Bales perform at this club on Friday.
"It's such an honor really, to have a performer like Jackie in your room. He's not only a great comedian but an amazing writer as well. From his days as an original member with “The Howard Stern Show”, to endless Road Gigs, movies, and now an author with his own weekly TV show, throwing the word legend in front of his name is not only a given, but a necessity," Seltzer said.
The show begins at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7 p.m.
