Reckless Driving, Trespassing: East Windsor Police Blotter
The East Windsor Police blotter dated Dec. 26, had the following reports:
EAST WINDSOR, NJ β On Dec. 19 at 11:53 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 130 North after observing both of the vehicle's brake lights were out. The driver, a Plainfield resident, was found to have an active warrant out of Union County and was placed under arrest. The 48-year-old was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later turned over to the custody of Union County Sheriff's officers.
On Dec. 19, at 7:57 p.m., an officer responded to the Windsor Hotel for a report of an individual who was barred from the property and given multiple warnings for trespassing. The officer located the man a short distance from the hotel and placed him under arrest. The 27-year-old East Windsor resident was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released on a complaint summons pending court action.
On Dec. 20 at 12:59 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Morrison Avenue after the driver failed to use his turn signal. The driver showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. The East Windsor resident was taken to police headquarters and processed, but he refused to comply with breath testing procedures. The 44-year-old was later released pending court action.

On Dec. 20 at 3 p.m., an officer responded to Target for a report of a shoplifting in progress. Loss prevention detained the suspect for attempting to leave the store without paying for $405.18 worth of merchandise. The 19-year-old Brick resident was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released on a summons pending court action.
On Dec. 20 at 11:57 p.m., an officer responded to Route 33 West near Route 133 for a report of a motor vehicle collision. The caller said they believed the driver was intoxicated. Upon the officer's arrival, the driver showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. The driver, a 44-year-old East Brunswick resident was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released pending court action.

On Dec. 23, 12:31 p.m., an officer responded to Target for a report of a shoplifting in progress. Loss prevention observed the suspect concealing $162.34 worth of merchandise in her purse and leaving the store without paying. The officer located the woman outside of the store and she was placed under arrest. The 27-year-old Trenton resident was transported to police headquarters, processed, and later released on a summons pending court action.
On Dec. 25 at 8: 52 a.m. an officer responded to Windsor Regency on the report of a person passed out behind the wheel of an idling vehicle. The man, identified as a Hightstown resident, showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. The 27-year-old was taken to police headquarters and processed, but he refused to comply with breath testing procedures. He was later released pending court action.
On Dec. 25 at 9:20 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 33 east near Lake Drive after observing the vehicle failing to maintain its lane of travel. The driver showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The driver, a 27-year-old East Windsor resident was taken to police headquarters, processed, and was later released pending court action.
On Dec. 25 at 7: 40 p.m., an officer responded to Route 571 near Route 133 for a motor vehicle crash. The driver of the at-fault vehicle showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. The 51-year-old Ewing resident was taken to police headquarters and processed, but he refused to comply with breath testing procedures. He was later released pending court action.
