2 Edison High Schools Among Top 25 In NJ For 2025-26: U.S. News & World Report
Nearly 24,000 public high schools were evaluated, and nearly 18,000 were ranked.
EDISON, NJ - U.S. News & World Report has released its latest rankings on the best high schools in NJ, and two Edison-based schools made the list.
The 2025-2026 Best High School Rankings, released Tuesday, includes specialized STEM and charter rankings alongside the traditional state, district, and metro area categories.
Nearly 24,000 public high schools were evaluated, and nearly 18,000 were ranked.

Here are the schools that made the top 25 in New Jersey:
- No. 3 Edison Academy Magnet School, 100 Technology Drive, Edison, (Middlesex County Vocational and Technical School District)
- No. 22 John P. Stevens High School, 855 Grove Avenue, Edison (Edison Township School District)
The 2025-2026 Best High Schools national rankings identify top public schools based on six key performance indicators- college readiness, college curriculum breadth, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, underserved student performance and graduation rate.

The rankings consider curriculum breadth and overall student outcomes as well. U.S. News worked with RTI International, a global research firm, to implement the comprehensive ranking methodology, using the most current data from the 2022-2023 school year.
