EDISON, NJ — It's a wrap for the 2024 election in Middlesex County. On Thursday, the Middlesex County Clerk's Office confirmed to Patch that the results from the general election had been certified following Election Day, which took place on Nov. 5.

With all 78 districts reporting, Ralph Errico, Jingwei "Jerry" Shi , and Ronak Patel emerged as winners.

Seven candidates were running for three seats on the Board of Education.

  • Ralph ERRICO: 18,108 (20.24%)
  • Jingwei 'Jerry' SHI: 17,355 (19.40%)
  • Ronak PATEL: 18,541 (20.73%)
  • Dimple MALHOTRA: 6,044 (6.76%)
  • Douglas SCHNEIDER: 9,680 (10.82%)
  • Brian RIVERA: 10,354 (11.58%)
  • Manoj JAITLY: 9,012 (10.07%)
  • Write-in: 357 (0.40%)

The voter turnout in Middlesex County was 62.57 percent. A total of 369,365 votes were cast across the county, which has a registered voter count of 590,286, according to the County Clerk's Office.

In the Presidential match-up, 52.31 percent of Middlesex County voted for Kamala Harris and Tim Waltz, while 44.31 percent of residents voted for incoming President Donald Trump and JD Vance. Harris received 191,802 votes with Trump getting 162,459 votes. Jill Stein got 6,996 votes (1.91 percent).
