Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy Dishes Out Rating For Metuchen Pizzeria
While reviewing L&L Pizza Restaurant, Portnoy mispronounced the borough's name several times.
METUCHEN, NJ – The reviews are in. Between mouthfuls of piping hot cheese pizza, Dave Portnoy gave his ratings for L&L Pizza Restaurant, which he visited recently.
He gave the pizza a 7.2. Portnoy posted his review on the “One Bite” Youtube channel on Wednesday.
“Good basic pizza, I guess,” Portnoy said. “When I say basic I don’t mean bad. I mean, it’s third-and-two, you’re probably running the football.”

However, the “El Presidente” of Barstool Sports mispronounced the name of the borough quite a few times. This prompted a comment from Mayor Jonathan M Busch.
“C’mon David, it’s pronounced muh-tuh-chn!” Busch said on Facebook. “Now come back and try a slice at any of the other five places in the #PizzaBorough.”
