Bomb Threats Called Into Edison, Metuchen Banks On Saturday: PD

Nothing was found at any of the three banks, police said.

EDISON, NJ — Three TD Banks in Edison and Metuchen were the subject of anonymous bomb threats over the weekend, Edison Lt. Robert Dudash said. All three were found to be not credible.

The threats were called into two banks in Edison and one in Metuchen between noon and 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, Dudash said. The three affected TD Banks are the 1906 Route 27 and 2064 Oak Tree Road locations in Edison, and the 70 Route 27 in Metuchen.

Staff at each bank evacuated the buildings, and Edison and Metuchen police searched the buildings. Nothing was found, police said.

"Thankfully, no cause for concern was found at either (bank) branch," Dudash said.

The threats remain under investigation.
