Convicted Killer Found With Gun, Heroin In Edison: PD
The Jersey City man was out on parole for a murder conviction when he was found with a gun and heroin, police said.
EDISON, NJ — A man who was out on parole for murder charges was arrested in Edison on Tuesday after being found with heroin, police said.
Ahmed Hassan Dar, 25, was paroled last year after a 5-year sentence for the 2013 murder of Roman Kaploun in Jersey City. He pleaded guilty to reckless manslaughter as part of a plea deal.
Now, Dar is back in jail, after he was arrested at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday morning in Edison. A car Dar was a passenger in was pulled over on Route 1 for driving erratically, police said.

During a search of the car, police found a loaded handgun, heroin, and $500 in cash that police say came from drug sales. They also found heroin inside one of Dar's boots, police said.
Dar was charged with weapon possession, possession and distribution of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. He was taken to the Middlesex County Jail.

The driver, 20-year-old Jaskirt Kaur of Woodbridge, was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license, and other motor vehicle violations. She was released to her mother and will appear in Edison Municipal Court later this month.
