Council, Mayor To Host Annual POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony

The ceremony will take place at the Edison POW/MIA Monument at 100 Municipal Blvd in Edison.

EDISON, NJ - Friday is National POW/MIA Recognition Day. To commemorate this day, Mayor Sam Joshi and the Edison Township Council will be hosting the community’s annual POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony at 2 p.m.

The ceremony will take place at the Edison POW/MIA Monument located in the circle at 100 Municipal Blvd in Edison.

The event will honor and remember the sacrifices made by prisoners of war (POW) and those missing in action (MIA). It is a tribute to the brave individuals who served the country and never returned home.

"It is important for us as a community to come together and remember those who have given so much for our country," Mayor Sam Joshi said.

"This ceremony serves as a reminder that we must remember the sacrifices made by our brave servicemen and women."

Members of the community are invited to attend this event and show their support for prisoners of war and those missing in action.

The POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony is open to the public and free to attend.

Parking will be available at the Edison Municipal Complex.

In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors to Council Chambers.
