David Tingle for Mayor Calls for Positive Change in Edison
"People want to know what we are going to do for Edison," Tingle said. "They want safer streets, stronger local businesses, and integrity."

As negativity continues to dominate state and local politics, I believe Edison deserves something better. Our community deserves a new era of leadership built on integrity, accountability, and respect.
Everywhere I go, I hear the same frustration. Residents are tired of watching neighbors argue instead of work together. They are tired of seeing their neighborhoods treated like a game of sign Monopoly without permission. And they are tired of people who do not live in Edison knocking on doors, pretending to speak for us.
I have told my team that we must focus on what The People’s Choice truly represents: doing what is best for Edison.

For nearly three decades, I have dedicated my life to public service — as a Chief Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and as a Lieutenant in the Edison Police Department. Those experiences taught me that real leadership is not about rank or politics. It is about responsibility, humility, and service to others.

A Historic Moment for Edison’s Voters
For the first time in Edison’s modern history, voters will see an independent candidate for mayor on the ballot with no Republican challenger. This is more than a political first. It is an opportunity to redefine what local government stands for.

Council candidate Gloria Dittman said it best: “We are not fueled by large donors or political consultants. The People’s Choice Team is powered by neighbors, volunteers, and families.”
Elizabeth Conway added, “Every yard sign is placed with permission and appreciation. Every door is knocked on with care and respect.”
We are doing this differently because Edison deserves better.
A Campaign About People, Not Politics
Our message is simple. We are here to lift Edison up. We are fighting back with integrity against a political system that stopped listening to the people it serves. It is time to bring respect and accountability back to local government.
Council candidate Shamiksha Sharmas put it perfectly: “This campaign is not about political divides, who is a Republican or who is a Democrat. It is about people, about doing what is right for our town together. We are building a movement rooted in kindness, fairness, and collaboration. Edison deserves leaders who listen, who care, and who work together to make our town safer, stronger, and more connected.”
A Vision for Edison’s Future
Our platform focuses on practical goals that reflect what families and businesses are asking for: safer streets, support for local businesses, fiscal responsibility without raising taxes, and a government that uses every tax dollar wisely.
Residents are tired of negative campaigns. So are we. That is why we are focused on rebuilding trust, strengthening community, and meeting this moment for the people of Edison.
This election is not about dividing the town. It is about uniting it.
Edison is ready for leadership that serves with integrity, acts with compassion, and leads with accountability. Together, we can lift Edison up.
