METUCHEN, NJ - Downed wires on Route 27 in Metuchen have prompted traffic delays in the area Saturday morning, authorities said.

As of 10:21 a.m., there are downed wires on Route 27 in both directions north of Middlesex Avenue in Metuchen, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

All lanes are currently closed, the agency said.
