Downtown Caroling, Gingerbread Takeover This Weekend In Metuchen

Here's what's happening in Downton Metuchen this weekend:

METUCHEN, NJ – The weekends during the Holiday season in Metuchen keep getting better.

After the Winter Market last week, Metuchen has two more events this weekend for community members.

On Saturday, Downtown will be filled with the sound of carols. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Rise Up Chorus will be singing carols and spreading holiday cheer at the Metuchen Town Plaza.

From 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., there will be Gingerbread story time with stops at Dessert shops Pastry Lu and AwesomeYo’s Kitchen.

From 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., the Brass Band will march through Downtown with Santa and Mrs. Claus. They will start at Peterson Park.

Residents who have participated in the Gingerbread House contest will have to drop off their creations on Friday and Saturday at What’s The Scoop (kid's houses) and Pastry Lu Bakery (adult houses). They will receive a $10 Downtown Bucks card to be used at Downtown Metuchen retailers.

Voting on the Gingerbread houses will take place on Saturday.

One winner each will receive a $50 gift card to their favorite Downtown Metuchen business.
