Early Voting In Edison, Metuchen: What You Need To Know
Early voting begins Saturday in New Jersey. Here's the information you need:
EDISON, NJ — Edison and Metuchen residents who want to get a head start at the polls for the 2024 election, can begin heading to the polling stations on Saturday for early voting.
Early in-person in New Jersey will take place from Oct. 26 to Nov. 3. Voting hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The early voting location in the area is at the Minnie B. Veal Recreation Center, 1070 Grove Ave, Edison.

Meanwhile, NJ residents continue to send in their mail-in ballots. According to an election tracker from the Associated Press, New Jersey voters have already cast 548,326 mail-in ballots as of Oct. 25.
Who’s On The Ballot
- METUCHEN TOWN COUNCIL: Jason Delia and Joel Branch are seeking reelection. They are running without a contest.
- METUCHEN BOE: Three candidates are seeking three seats on the Metuchen Board of Education — Nadiah Cheatham, Deborah Spigner and Chris Derflinger.
- EDISON BOE: Seven candidates are running for three seats on the Board of Education. Ralph Errico, Dimple Malhotra, Douglas Schneider, Jingwei "Jerry" Shi, Brian Rivera, Ronak Patel, and Manoj Jaitly.
- US SENATOR: Candidates for a U.S. Senate seat who will appear on the ballot are Andy Kim (Democrat), Curtis Bashaw (Republican), Kenneth R. Kaplan (Libertarian), Joanne Kuniansky (Socialist Workers Party), Christina Khalil (Green Party) and Patricia G. Mooneyham (Independent).
- US HOUSE (6TH DISTRICT): Voters in the 6th Congressional District will cast ballots for a full two-year term in the U.S. House of Representatives. Candidates on the ballot are Rep. Frank Pallone (Democrat), Scott Fegler (Republican), Herb Tarbous (Green Party), Matthew Amitrano (Libertarian Party) and Fahad Akhtar (Common Sense Independence).
- MIDDLESEX COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: Voters will also get to cast a ballot in the race for Middlesex County Commissioners. The Democratic candidates on the ballot are Shanti Narra and Ronald Rios. The Republican candidates are John McConville and Peter Pedro Pisar.
