Edison Bicyclist Killed In Rt. 1 Crash: Prosecutor
An Arkansas man has been charged in connection to the bicyclist's death, officials say.
EDISON, NJ — An Edison bicyclist was killed in a crash on Route 1 on Friday, and an Arkansas man has been charged, Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey said.
Rodney Kukuc, 67, of Edison, was riding his bike in a crosswalk on Route One south when he was struck by a Dodge Ran van. Police say both the driver and the bicyclist had a green light.
Kukuc was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Dodge, Mark Franklin, 52, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, was arrested and charged with causing the death of another person and driving with a suspended license.
