Edison aims to convert the five softball fields into three new soccer fields. They are looking to build new parking along the southeastern side of the field, as well as expand the parking along Clif Prescod Lane and the entrance drive to the west of the site.

The site was previously owned by the U.S. Military, with Camp Kilmer located there until it was deactivated in 1949. In 1970, parts of the land were given to Edison as part of BRAC. This plot of land currently houses the Angels Field.

The Edison Angels Girls Fastpitch Softball League used the field for over 20 years. But they closed down, and the field is no longer in use.
