Edison Library Halt Becomes a Symbol of Mismanagement Ahead of Mayor Election in Edison
Work halted at Edison Library raising questions on oversight and wild campaign spending as Joshi redefines "party funds.

Edison’s future depends on leadership that listens, acts, and keeps its promises.
It is fun to cut ribbons, pose with big name leaders, and host parties. It is harder to manage projects, deliver on deadlines, and honor the public’s investment.
The People’s Choice campaign is Edison’s Best chance at a future built on trust, accountability, and results. Our town has seen too many projects stall and too many promises fade once the cameras are off. The recent Department of Labor stop-work order at the Edison Library’s North Branch shows what happens when oversight takes a back seat to showmanship.
Flashy announcements look good on social media, but they do not fix flooding, finish libraries, or strengthen public safety. Real leadership means doing the quiet, disciplined work that keeps a town moving forward long after the speeches end.

Edison cannot afford to learn about its problems from state investigators.
As mayor, I will require full transparency on every township project from bid to completion. My plan includes livestreamed budget hearings with reasonable time for public input, a public project dashboard, and a professional project manager to ensure accountability.

That is why the People's Choice is Edison’s Best step forward, built around keeping residents safe in their neighborhoods by increasing the presence of law enforcement, spending responsibly without raising taxes and taking on debt, supporting local businesses without inviting outside investors with sweetheart tax-free deals, and honoring our seniors and veterans by making them the priority when it comes to affordable housing.
Real respect is delivered through results, not photo opportunities.
I am proud to run with Gloria Dittman, Elizabeth Conway, and Samiksha Sharmas, three women of integrity and experience who share my belief that leadership should unite, not divide. That same spirit of unity has drawn support from across New Jersey’s political spectrum, as TapInto Edison recently reported. Because when the goal is fairness and accountability, good ideas are not partisan—they are simply good.
Edison deserves better than stop-work orders, stalled progress, flooding, and congested traffic.
It deserves leadership with integrity, focus, and a results-driven mindset. It deserves a mayor who values delivery over drama. The People’s Choice campaign is Edison’s Best chance to rebuild trust, restore efficiency, and put people back at the center of local government.
Vote Column E for Edison and Column B for the Best. Together, we can make accountability and service the foundation of everything Edison builds.
